This temple is famous for festivals like Krishna Jeyanthi, Vaikunta Ekadashi, and Hanuman Jayanti.

There is a legend behind the temple that Santhanam Iyyangar, who donated the temple land and invited Parama Sri Ramani Anna to visit his land on his way to Chennai. He accepted the invitation and went there. While walking on this land, he experienced the aura of Lord Hanuman through which the deity asked him to build a temple for him there.
