Silver cascade is located on the ghat road of Kodaikanal, which is 8 kms away from Kodaikanal town. This refreshing waterfall welcomes us as we veer on the Madurai-Kodaikanal road. This amazing fall drops at the height of 180 feet, due to the result of the overflow of kodai lake. This spot is perfect for taking photographs and renders an enchanting view of the valleys and dense forests. This waterfall serves as a perfect halt for tourists and drivers, to take a small sojourn and refresh themselves after a tedious travel. There are lots fruits and snacks stalls are available, making this place apt for a tourist destination.

Activities

In this place we can indulge in activities like strolling, cycling (if you have your own cycle), and photo shoot. This fall is filled with troops of monkeys, making the place more alive and fun filled. Beware of these monkeys while carrying snacks and other beverages. During monsoon, the water level would be very high and so better avoid taking bath in this fall during monsoon.

Best time to visit

Kodaikanal is one of the topmost tourist spots in Tamilnadu. It is a great place for summer vacations, and honeymooners. Best time to visit this amazing land is between the months of March to June.

By Rail - Kodairoad (KQN) - 100km to Kodaikanal. Taxis and buses will be available for hiring.

By Bus - Regular buses are available from various parts of the state by having the connecting town as Dindigul.
