The water resources most essential for agriculture are worshipped throughout the state in a welcoming note. The ritual which falls on the 18th day of the Tamil month Aadi is also called as 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐮 and is most prominently celebrated along the 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲.
