Sathanur crocodile farm is one of the famous crocodile farms in India. It is been established by the Tamilnadu government in the year 1977. Sathanur is a small village in Tiruvannamalai district. The farm is well maintained and is kept inside the dam. The Sathanur dam was constructed across the river Pennaiyar and is a point of attraction among the tourists.
Other attractions:
This dam houses about 395 nos of Marsh crocodiles (crocodilus palustris) and few fish grottos. This dam also has well maintained park to attract more tourists. Adjacent to this park is a small children’s park.
Feeding:
The crocodiles are fed with 140 kgs of beef for 2 days and 100kgs of fish.

Buses are available from Thiruvannamalai to Sathanur. Nearest railway station is at Thiruvannamalai.
