Silver Beach

Silver beach got its name from the silvery water waves that embrace our feet. This beach is left untouched and pure. People, who want to spend their leisure at peace and tranquility, love this beach to the core. Silver beach also ranks second in being the longest beach on the coramandel coast. This lovely paradise is the apt place to spend your holidays barring any clamor or tension.

Major attractions:

Silver beach is bordered with the sea front erosions and lovely palm trees. The south of the beach appears to be a mini island, with not so violent waves and currents, so this place is apt for all water sports and boats are also there for rent and riding. Yet another interesting feature of this beach is the mangrove forest to its west side. It is the only mangrove forest in India, and a spectacular sight to see all the lush green sprouting out from the water.

There is no particular time to visit this beach; you can take a trip here at any time and during any month.

How to reach:

Silver beach is situated at a 2 km distance from Cuddalore city. There are surplus private and government buses from cuddalore or you can also hire taxi from any part of the Cuddalore city.

Other places to visit:

After a great time at the beach you can give visit to the temples, monuments and museums in Cuddalore. Some of the important temples are Chidambaram, Virudhachalam, Valadure and Thiruvanathapuram.
